I took this screenshot yesterday but. Girl WHAT??? What the hell are you on about? Do you want babies born or not? Why is the Catholic Church like this
Edit, for anyone that cares: this post was just supposed to be me being baffled that the CC is the way it is. I know why they’re trying to do this, and the “why is the CC like this” was rhetorical. This post was not supposed to gain traction, nor was it supposed to spark discourse. Just like any other transaction for labor in this capitalist hellscape we live in, there are issues with surrogacy, but also like any other feminized labor, it shouldn’t be banned. I will delete any comments containing sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, anti-sex work sentiments, or other harmful assumptions. Terfs, gender critical people, zionists, pro-lifers, and bootlickers are not welcome on this post.

Lol, why is canon so important to some people?
Think about it dude. What is canon? Canon is a book series written by one person (who btw is a terf but let’s not talk about that now). One woman.
What is fanon? Fanon is a bunch of people all coming up with new thought and ideas that they love. Fanon is a group of people who saw their opportunity to get representation in fiction, whether it’s trans representation, aroace representation or bipolar disorder representation. It’s beautiful, because these people might have never seen their disorder, their gender identity, their sexuality, their skin condition or their body type be represented ever before. Because people like jkr exist, and they write stories excluding people they don’t respect, and that is horrible. In the marauders fandom, young kids with a love for writing get their chance. Young people who have a curiosity and imagination like no others get to put it into their own works. People get to discuss, people get to bond over their favourite headcannons and characters. I find it so beautiful. Or perhaps you’re just one person. A young child who has no happiness in this world, but finds comfort in their favourite ship or their favourite character, a character they headcannon with their own skin colour or sexuality. It brings them comfort, and that’s all that matters. Young children don’t deserve to feel guilty about this. Perhaps they already are abused at home and yelled at 24/7, when suddenly grownups on the interest start shaming them for their favourite ship, their favourite dynamic, their favourite fanfiction. Is that fair? No, it isn’t. Not in the slightest.
So sure, go ahead. Enjoy canon. Enhoy whatever makes you happy. Enjoy reading what’s already written. You don’t have to use your own imagination if you don’t want to. But please, don’t shame others for their favourite ships, characters or headcannons. If you can enjoy the fandom and find peace in it, why can’t everybody else?
The words of one woman, a transphobe btw, against the words of a teenager, lonely in this world and lonely with the struggles of being the seemingly only loving person in a world of transphobes etc. What is canon, really? Maybe my headcannons are canon to me?
Edit: And for the love of God, people don’t deserve to be called blood purists, zionists or anything like that for liking Regulus, Jegulus, the Slytherin skittles etc. That is a very close minded thing to say. Slytherin is not all about being a pureblood and above everyone else. Jkr did a mistake there, describing all the qualities of the house and then proceeding to use Slytherin as the house for all the evil, fucked up, ugly characters she didn’t like. And I am far from a Zionist. I am against discrimination of all sorts, I feel very strongly and have strong opinions about things like these, I’m against racism, queerphobism etc. Keep in mind, I am a minor and I already know more about this cruel world than most people my age that I’ve ever met. I’m a loving person. I have struggles of my own. Being called a Zionist, transphobe etc. is EXTREMLY triggering for me. To think that there are people out there, on this planet, thinking such things about me and believing I have beliefs like that, is extremely upsetting. Especially since they don’t know shit about me. I can ship whoever I want and like whatever character I like without being an arsehole.

A Long Rant About the 2024 Olympics Boxing Gender Row
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Disclaimer: DO NOT REPOST. This post contains personal opinions and information gathered over the past week concerning female boxers and Olympic finalists 🇩🇿 Imane Khelif (left) and 🇹🇼 Lin Yu-Ting (right), as well as their opponents. You are welcome to share your thoughts, but if you come to me with hate or an attempt to convince me they are men through claims such as that of XY chromosomes (which have never been proven, mind you), especially if you or your source(s) cite the corrupt, biased and discredited International Boxing Association (IBA), will be blocked and have your comment(s) deleted. If proper fact-checking is too much work for you, I suggest you save your energy and block me instead. On the other hand, if there are relevant updates or information that I may have missed, do let me know in the comments, and I will edit this post accordingly. Lastly, I do not condone the harassment of any of the individuals involved - that time is better spent on more valuable causes such as 🇵🇸 helping Palestinians, 🏳️‍⚧️ supporting trans people, and calling for the rearrest of convicted child rapist Steven van de Velde. Thank you for reading.
Angela Carini is not a hero.
We all know Carini abandoned her match not even a minute in and complained about being “punched too hard” by Khelif - who made the women’s lightweight quarterfinals in Tokyo. The cop competed in the welterweight division and lost her opening bout 2-3 to 🇹🇼 Chen Nien-Chin (who will join Khelif on the Olympic podium, fuck yeah).
Carini’s involvement has gradually garnered less attention since her apology, but she will have a long way to go before she can be forgiven, especially by Khelif. An Italian posted and translated her deleted tweet before the infamous 46-second bout clearly alluding to Khelif as a man, and Algérié Football Média recently released a recording of Khelif, where she explains how Carini’s club and the Italian media took advantage of her.
What’s worse, the IBA decided to offer Carini a hundred grand as a “consolation prize.” At least this time the Italian federation values their dignity more and refused the money.
Luca Hámori is not a hero.
Remember the Instagram story reshares that she had to take down? Besides the bull-headed giant, Hámori reshared another which called Khelif a korcsot - a dehumanizing Hungarian slur which Google interprets as “monster” or “freak,” but more accurately translates to “mongrel.”
Hámori entered the ring expecting to walk out as a “savior,” but it was Khelif who turned out to be the bigger person that day. Upon her victory, Khelif called out the IBA for their abuse towards her, but she fights on because of her faith in justice.
Svetlana Staneva is NOT A FUCKING HERO. Neither is her equally ill-informed coach, Borislav Georgiev.
This case makes me especially furious not just because I’m also a Taiwanese woman like Lin Yu-Ting, but also the abysmal immaturity of 34-year-old Staneva, THE SECOND OLDEST BOXER IN THE FEATHERWEIGHT DIVISION. Even Hámori has shown more decency in the ring, and she’s eleven years younger!
If you, like me, have watched their full match, you should acknowledge that Yu-Ting was undoubtedly the better boxer that day - same case in her RO16 bout against Sitora Turdibekova.
On the other hand, you’ll see that Staneva doesn’t need “protecting,” considering she literally held Yu-Ting by the head and SLUNG HER ACROSS THE RING (around 3:25-3:30). I’m sorry, Staneva, did you ever realize the audience was there to watch boxing and not wrestling?! And she calls herself a “proud XX woman.” Our commentators did not witness that gesture, but if they did I trust they would’ve been fuming as much as I have the past few days.
If she truly were a proud woman, she would not play dirty the entire time, then give up five seconds before the final bell. Look me straight in the eyes and tell me that you would want to be represented by such behavior. I feel sorry for the Bulgarians and her other supporters who had to witness such a shameful performance.
Oh, one more thing… Guess who the IBA gave a bronze medal in the 2023 World Championships after disqualifying Yu-Ting?
That’s right, it was Staneva. No wonder her coach was willing to give up all professionalism and pander to the IBA’s lies. And look what that got them - now they’re not allowed anywhere near the Olympic podium! This could be unlikely, but let’s hope they are punished by the IOC and/or any relevant departments back in Bulgaria.
Tumblr media
(I’m not going on Twitter for a better resolution of this photo. This one fries my eyes enough.)
Esra Yıldız Kahraman is not a hero.
I am at a loss of words.
What the actual fuck, Kahraman. We thought you were better than this.
I will only say this once. DO NOT confuse bad sportsmanship, disinformation, transphobia, (inter)sexism, and racism with “defending women’s sports.”
Reducing womanhood to chromosomes, genitalia, physical appearance, and/or some other bullshit is the most despicable and disgusting thing to come out of such hatred, and I will die on this hill. And gender tests? They were abolished due to their ineffectiveness at identifying maleness after Atlanta 1996, but the IBA won’t admit it. And considering their latest mess of a press conference, they would rather stay relevant with empty claims and unnecessary threats. Stop giving them the time of day! Listen to the podcast Tested instead for more info on this matter.
Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-Ting did not make the podium in Tokyo, but they will both leave Paris with their heads high up and medals hanging down their necks - all the while the likes of “fEmInIsTs” and bigots such as J.K. Rowling, Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and Logan Paul can only COPE AND SEETHE. Their victory is a victory for women, a victory for Algeria, a victory for Taiwan, and a victory for the boxing world that I never thought I’d care so much about.
I’m counting on Khelif and Yu-Ting to win gold and dunk on all the haters all over again. But respect to every other medalist in the welterweight tournament for being great sports - 🇨🇳 Yang Liu, 🇹🇭 Janjaem Suwannapheng, and our dearest Nien-Chin. You all deserve the podium! 💖💖💖

I’ve seen whispers of various accusations, but I’ve just found out from their latest post dump that prismatic bell is a genuine violent Zionist. So I decided to do a bit more digging and it literally took me like 10 secs to find the receipts exposing ableism, racism, terf rhetoric, and other hateful behavior.
I honestly used to reblog a lot bc I feel like when they do make a good point (even broken clocks ig… or they do a really good job masking their bigotry as progressivism and sometimes that results in a few genuinely progressive stances) they’re very well articulated, but a lot of the (extremely well founded) accusations are also for spreading misinformation so I’m not trusting shit anymore. If it is something I know for a fact they’re right about I’ll just do the work to articulate it myself
Anyway I know Im like the last person to know about this but sorry to anyone who knew and was subjected to them because of me and here’s a formal warning to anyone who still wasn’t aware of who they really are

So it’s “cultural xtianity” to care about Palestinians and not write them off as dishonest? Here’s more proof of liberals using social justice language and taking advantage of people’s issues with Christianity to use against Palestinians. Who are these people to tone police how we protest or give mutual aid? They’re just like those who tried to use respectability politics against BLM.

As a Ukrainian, I never really understood why "redneck" is an insult. What's so insulting about working in the field? What's so insulting about making food? In Ukrainian culture, the food, the earth that bears the bread are sacral - and both the earth and the food cannot stand disrespect. We even have a belief that one should never shout or slur during cooking - or "bread will hear it, get upset and end up as shit." It's like using "a farmer" or "a baker" as an insult, it's just weird... seriously, if you want to highlight that your rival is uneducated - just say so! "He's uneducated." "The one who knows how to work with earth" is not equal to "uneducated", yk... being uneducated is much scarier than being a farmer. XD
Also because russia has been enslaving my people for centuries, and, while eating all of our bread, it called us "peasants" and other similar stuff. russia killed and deported all Crimean Tatars, who were also good farmers, but oh dear! russia didn't thought about that there was no one to make food anymore! So they just deported Ukrainians to Crimea because we know how to work with earth and russians have their hands growing out of their asses.

Anyway I just saw a post saying that the protests here in the US are “taking away attention” from what’s actually happening in Gaza and “LARPing oppression” as if 1) the whole point of the protests is to put attention on Gaza and call for a ceasefire and 1.5) shows they’re exclusively getting their news from mainstream cable networks and 2) it’s not the fuckin media’s own fault they’re more interested in covering protests than the actual genocide, and 3) the students are somehow not facing oppression ???????
For one, what’s the solution here? Tell these students who feel very strongly (and rightfully so!) about this issue to just give up and go home? Who exactly does that benefit? Oh, right, the universities who are benefiting from this genocide, as well as the federal government. Good plan.
For two, I realize that the university at the center of this is an Ivy League school, and that the students who are there are privileged in many ways. However, that does not change the fact they are facing violence from the university and from police. That does not change the fact many of these students are Palestinian, Jewish, or other minorities. Beyond that, Columbia is not the only school where protests are happening. Emerson, USC, Yale, Harvard, MIT, Tufts, Cal Poly Humboldt, NYU, Vanderbilt, Brown, University of Michigan, UC Berkeley, Emory, Indiana University, Purdue, George Washington University, UCLA, Northeastern, Ohio State, UT Austin, Arizona State, Washington University St Louis, Cornell, University of Pennsylvania, Stanford, University of Georgia Athens, Sonoma State, San Francisco State, Sacramento State, University of Washington, Virginia Tech, Princeton, University of Minnesota, UConn, USC, University of Illinois, University of Utah, McGill, Portland State, UNC Chapel Hill, Tulane, University of Florida Gainesville, University of Colorado Denver, Case Western Reserve, City College of New York, Rutgers, Johns Hopkins, University of Maryland College Park, Barnard College, Pomona College, DePaul, Georgetown, University of Delaware, University of Arizona, University of New Mexico, University of Wisconsin, Virginia Commonwealth University, Oberlin, UC San Diego, University of San Diego, and I’m sure many others have or are currently participating in protests. Many of these schools are not elite universities only the best of the best (or the most money) get in. For crying out loud, my ass got into Indiana University.
That begs another question as well. Yes, these students at Ivy League schools have privilege. How else would you prefer they use it? When one has privilege, it is imperative to utilize it for the benefit of those one has privilege over.
Anyway. Free Palestine. Defund the police.
“Taking away attention from what’s actually going on” this is like saying the university protests against the Vietnam War were taking away attention from what’s actually going on in Vietnam. (Which I’m realizing now was probably an actual talking point at the time, but sounds ridiculous now.)
